“ 5 July 2024 Friday Excellent Braised Pork Leg Rice for dinner at 8:50pm. This place opens everyday from 4pm to 10pm, and serves one of the best braised pork leg rice I’ve ever eaten. Apparently they will rest for 2 days, after every 9 or 10 days of work. Braised pork meat was tender and flavourful, the chilli dip was deliciously sour and spicy it woke up my appetite. The owner is so affable and able to speak a little English. She gave me the fatty cuts I wanted, and it was so good, there was not a single grain of rice left on my plate. Sadly, hers didn’t come with a braised egg or “spare parts” (intestines) but still, it was a jolly good meal. Reasonably priced too (only 50baht or S$2 a plate!). I’ll have this for dinner tonight. And the next night, before I leave Ranong. 06 July 2024 Saturday Yes, I came back to eat Khao Kah Moo. At 6pm. It is consistent - the pork leg was braised to perfection, and really a decent price of 50 baht for a delicious plate of food. 07 July 2024 Sunday 8pm And YES, I came back a THIRD evening just to have a last fix of Khao Kah Moo. Lady Boss and Boss Man were both amused to see me turn up, AND they remembered how I like my dish - fatty pork and loads of gravy. I also ordered a takeaway to feast at 11pm … as it will be a LONG time before I can get to return to eat this again. Leaving on Monday for a long drive home. I WILL miss this, sorely. Simple, comfort food at its best. Thank you for feeding me. ”
